American Leviathan: The Birth of the Administrative State (2025) – Full Documentary

For generations, the American people have been lulled into believing they still live in the Republic our Founders built, while an unaccountable ruling class has slowly seized power behind the scenes.

Americans believe that the Government works for them, that the bureaucrats in Washington are their servants, not their rulers. But that’s a lie.

The reality is we are living under an American Leviathan – a massive, unaccountable administrative state that has subverted the Republic our Founders built.

This film’s creator, Ned Ryun says the Leviathan can be slain, just as tyrannies of the past have been broken but only if we summon the courage, the will, and the determination to fight as our Founders once did.

PARTIAL TRANSCRIPT

Progressives were utopian statists; deeply naïve – willfully so – about human nature and about the dangers of consolidated power. They mistakenly sought Utopia in a Fallen World.

All of this nonsense led to Progressive Statists working on conentrating tremendous power.

In defiance of the ages, Progressive thought human nature was not inherently evil but was perfectable and could rise to a higher plane in the here and now.

Underlying the dynamic of the Government for most of the 20th century is a dynamic that is little-discussed: the slow transfer of legitimate governance of this nation, from the duly-elected Members of Congress to the unelected bureaucrats of the Administrative State.

The Founders believed deeply in the machinery of the Republic and the diffusion of power between the separate branches of government.

They didn’t want to create a government that benefited them exclusively, as the future leaders of the country.

In reality, the Separation of Powers limited them and their ability to use the government to their benefit, because – unlike the Progressive Statists – they didn’t trust themselves.
